How do I get involved?
Flannel Check is different from other non-profit organizations. It is not just our mission that's different; it's how we impact the community and how people get involved.
Other non-profits host events – a 5k run/walk, a gala, an annual event, and more. The Flannel Check Challenge allows companies, communities, schools, churches, individuals, and others to participate anywhere in the world! While we encourage participation annually during the Flannel Check Challenge (during February), you can participate at any time!

Here's how you can get involved:
- Grab a flannel or plaid shirt that contains the ribbon colors that represent disease states that are important to you (e.g., heart disease, colon cancer, breast cancer, mental health, etc.). If it's not a flannel or plaid shirt, grab a scarf, socks, or anything else that contains those colors.
- Schedule your annual physical/health screening! This is the most important part of Flannel Check. Early detection of and screening for diseases increases cure rates. We want you to live longer for what you love!
- Share the Flannel Check message. Talk with your friends, family, coworkers, church members, and others about your commitment to your well being, and invite them to schedule their health checks. You have the power to change your community, one conversation at a time!
